New England’s Largest Faith-Based Social Justice Music Festival Gilford, NH—The mountains of New Hampshire are about to be filled once again with the one-of-a-kind energy that is SoulFest. Now in its thirteenth year, SoulFest is the largest multi-day music festival of its kind in the Northeast, attracting over 13,000 attendees. This four-day music festival features world-renowned musicians on five separate stages, guest speakers and authors from across the globe, and numerous other activities including laser tag, rock climbing, mountain biking, horseback riding, hiking, and lots of great food! As if all this weren’t enough, SoulFest takes place at Gunstock Mountain Resort, which sits atop the White Mountain range of New Hampshire and provides an idyllic haven for rest and relaxation. Music, Love, and Action have always been central to SoulFest since its beginning in 1998. This year is no exception, as the 2010 theme is “True Love is Not For Sale,” inspired by SoulFest’s partnership with the Not For Sale Campaign.  SoulFest attendees will be given opportunities to help their neighbors globally and locally through a variety of regional, national, and international organizations, which include:
  • The Not For Sale Campaign, who exist to educate the public about human trafficking and provide tangible, grassroots solutions for those who want to help in the fight for freedom. A 3-day Abolitionist Academy and daily workshops will engage attendees about the urgency of this issue.
  • New Hampshire-based Global Benefit will host the SF Walk for Water and Save Giovanni’s Friends will continue their search for bone marrow matches.
  • National organizations such as To Write Love On Her Arms and The Love Alliance who seek to provide hope for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide.
  • International organizations like Bolivia’s Best who will be selling coffee onsite to raise funds to provide homes for abandoned and at-risk children in Bolivia
Each year SoulFest offers something different, and this year we are proud to highlight special performances by Switchfoot’s Jon Foreman on the mountain top stage, a late-night encore performance by Jars of Clay, Paul Colman as the Revival Stage emcee, and a brand new meal tent that will fulfill all your festival food needs! In addition, SoulFest 2010 presents an incredible set of headlining acts including:
• Switchfoot• TobyMac• MercyMe• Jars of Clay• Kutless                        • Sanctus Real• The OC Supertones• Hawk Nelson• August Burns Red• Israel Houghton
