Morbid Mountain Opens Friday Night!

 

Gilford, NH.  Friday night, October 2nd, Gunstock Mountain Resort opens the doors as Laconia Savings Bank presents Morbid Mountain,  The Halloween Screamfest and Haunted Hayride will be open every weekend from 7 to 10:30 pm in October, plus special hours on Sunday of Columbus Day weekend.    Morbid Mountain will be sure to scare young and old alike and this year features 4 haunts.  The 3D Carnival of Corpses will in the Stockade Lodge.  Legend has it Johnny had the perfect place to take his date, but upon arrival, no one was there, the floor was moving, how do you get out………..you don’t.  The Hospital of Horrors will be an outside maze over 2500 square feet in size.  Stumbled upon by two lost hikers, during a freak thunderstorm, they knocked on the door and a voice behind it said…….we’ve been waiting for you!.  Don’t forget to pay your bill…….Nightmare Knoll tells a story of campers sitting around a campfire.  There is something moving in the woods………you’ve heard the stories……they may come true…..Lastly Swampwalk where Stanley Burger went to get away from the office and do some research.  He didn’t know that the dirt beneath his nails would be from his own unsuccessful attempt to struggle to survive.  

“All of the haunts are different from last year” says Bill Quigley, Director of Sales and Marketing.  Gunstock’s Halloween Screamfest and Haunted Hayride one of the only in central NH and Capitol Region will be the place to get scared this season. Nightmare Knoll sponsored by Rochester truck this year is all new, the Morbid Mountain Team has done a great job of bringing on a great cast, and developing new ways to scare you. 

To get your Metrocast Morbid Mountain wristband, slither in to the Welcome Center and visit all four haunts for just $20.00.  Don’t like the lines, skip to the front of the line with the R.I.P. pass for just a bit more.  For those that want unlimited visits without the lines there is the Unlimited RIP pass.  Have a group or want to get your company together, call Gunstock for reservations and special rates.  It’s a great time for everyone.  Morbid Mountain will have carnival rides to add to the fun and great food both inside and out.  Pick up some great Morbid Mountain merchandise and you can start thinking about ski season as the leasing season has begun.
