Spring comes quietly to the Lakes. It whispers soft cool breezes still left over from the intense winter. Crocuses dare to poke tiny heads above the snow. But soon lime green leaves burst forth and we can walk outside with only a light jacket. Cleaning up the winter’s brown leaves and twigs gives us special pleasure knowing that gardening will soon be on our agenda. We take our first look at the water to see how things have changed. It’s the same beautiful, sparkling lake. Small boats rock gently at their moorings. We are ready to take in all that the Lakes Region has to offer. This is our haven, our home, our garden, culture and history – this is a FRESH NEW SEASON in the Lakes Region, the place we consider home – whether it’s for the whole year or for just a few days every year.
