With private, semi-private, and group lesson programs offered daily and fun season-long programs available, the Gunstock Learning Center Team can help you learn a new skill, work on a problem area or gain confidence in your ability.  Your learning style will dictate the best environment and lesson for you.     

Private Lessons

Private skiing and snowboarding lessons are offered every day of the season for all levels of abilitiy.  Private lessons are offered on the hour from 9AM to 3PM, and at 4:30PM and 5:30PM during night operations.  We also offer private race and telemark ski lessons by reservation.  Prices are for the lesson only and do not include the cost of rental equipment or a lift ticket.  Lift tickets are not required during the lesson, but are needed if you plan to ski or ride before or after the lesson.  Reservations are recommended.   Call Guest Services at 603-293-4341 X0 to schedule a lesson time.

Group Lessons

Become a Skier or Snowboarder in our Nationally Recognized Learn To Ski/Ride program:  Mountain Magic.   1 and 3 day programs are available for 1st timers, ages 6 and up.  Program includes lesson, novice lift ticket, rentals, and special offers for 3-day graduates. 

Mountain Adventure is perfect for the novice to intermediate skier or snowboarder, ages 6 and older.  1 or 2 day programs will give you the confidence to explore new terrain.

Bump it up a notch…literally, with the Mountain Excitement program. Let our Learning Center Pros help you conquer the bumps, steeps, trees, and anything that challenges you.

• Each day of the Mountain Adventure or Excitement Program includes a prime time lift ticket and a 1 hour group lesson. Rentals are optionally available.
• Upgrades to private lessons are available for an additional $30 per lesson.   Reservations are recommended.
• The two-day program can be used on any 2 days during the current season.

• Lessons times for the Mountain Adventure and Excitement programs are at 10AM, 12PM and 2PM daily, as well as 4:30PM and 5:30PM when we are open for night operations.  We suggest arriving at least an hour before the lesson time that you are interested in.  Lessons are sold on a first come, first served basis in the Welcome Center.
• Guests who complete the 2-day Mountain Adventure or Excitement programs will receive 50% off of their prime time or night tickets, 15% off in Mountainside Outfitters, and $15 savings on a helmet purchased at the Mountainside Outfitters Store during the current year.  All discounts will end at the conclusion of the current season.

Season Long Programs

Women’s Only Wednesday

Women's Only Wednesday is a ski and snowboard program designed for women of all abilities to work with some of the best female coaches in the industry. Each day of the program includes a 2 hour group lesson from 9:30AM to 11:30AM and a Morning lift ticket.  Registration is in the Welcome Center.  Day care discounts are available for participants; reservations at Base Camp are required.  Program typically begins the first Wednesday in January and runs 6 consecutive weeks.

50 Plus Program

Gunstock's 50 Plus program is for any skier or snowboarder over the age of 50 who is comfortable on Blue Square Terrain (or comfortable Green Circle terrain and looking to stretch their boundaries).  The program includes a Morning lift ticket with a 1½ hour group ski/ride with Gunstock Pros.  Program benefits include special prices on Head Demos from the Mountainside Outfitters Retail and Demo Center, a boot-fitting session, fun races, discounted Nastar Season pass, discounts in Mountainside Outfitters and much more!  The program typically runs Mondays from the first Monday in January thru the first Monday in March, with the exceptions of Martin Luther King Jr. Day and Presidents Day.
