Nordic Conditions Report for January 16, 2021
Fat Bikes will NOT be permitted on the XC trails today.
Wax of the Day:
||Red or yellow Klister
||Yellow / Ch 10
This morning I came into work and I was pleasantly surprised by one inch of wet sloppy snow and it is currently still snowing. Fingers crossed this will keep up all day.
Earlier this week we spread snow this week on Stadium, Quiver, Longbow, and the Powerline section of Cobble. From Cobble by the maintenance shop to where Longbow and Powerline intersect on Powerline the trail is a little rocky from our snow moving operation. With the new snow that we got I suspect it will cover up the hazards: please stay clear of that section.
At this point, all trails are open for cross country skiing and snowshoeing with low snow conditions. Be cautious of occasional bare spots and washouts, which I am suspecting will increase throughout the day.
Lessons and Rentals are available by reservation. Call the Outdoor Center at 603.293.4341 ext 504.
The Outdoor Center is open from 8am-4pm for rentals, retail, and passes. We are now set up to do basic waxing and Nordic tune-ups. There is a worldwide shortage of Nordic ski equipment, but we still have inventory in stock. Come on in and visit us!
